I started with White Tiger TKD 18 months ago so I could learn a new skill and develop my fitness. I looked at several forms of martial arts but wanted somewhere that would welcome youngsters, as I would like my children to attend when they feel ready. White Tiger was the only local club to be Clubmark accredited, which is proof of high standards (student welfare, coaching, equality, etc), and having completed this same accreditation at my work, I knew this was the best place to come.From the first lesson onwards the instructors and senior students take a huge interest in developing the newcomers in a friendly and safe environment. I could not recommend this club more highly.
I have so many good things to say about this club. My son, now 10, joined a year ago and absolutely loves it. Ive watched his skills develop considerably in this time and continue to be impressed by the maturity and dedication he shows to learning this martial art. I like the fact that the club is a complete mixture of ages, gender and ability where all are welcome and no-one needs to feel uncomfortable about starting from scratch. The class is run with great dedication by Mr and Mrs Wanklyn who manage to create a learning environment that is disciplined, fun and nurturing all at the same time. The benefits to my son are real life skills, self defence, fitness and above all a level of confidence that he can take forward into the adult world.
